College is not easy. Between classes, part-time jobs, exams and keeping a decent social calendar, things can get out of hand. Sometimes, all you need is a little break to relax and reflect. And what better way to do that than with some hot chocolate? It’s comforting and warming and totally delicious. We found a really great white hot chocolate recipe from Giada de Laurentiis that you can totally make in your dorm or apartment.
For starters, all you need is: marshmallows, white chocolate bars, vanilla-flavored almond milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and a sweetener — the chef used agave.
What we really like about this recipe is that de Laurentiis put her marshmallows on a stick and dipped them in dark chocolate — it’s cute!
While those are cooling she heats up the almond milk, cinnamon and nutmeg. Once that’s almost simmering, she adds her white chocolate and agave to sweeten the drink.
Finally, she dips her marshmallows, which by the way, can also be used as stirrers.
You can totally use regular milk if you want, and skip the sweetener if you want a spicier taste. It’s your preference.
We suggest making this for you and your friends on a Friday night that consists of Netflix and chill.
